upon the rail stands the raven
Cawing away the day
upon the wire sings the dove
swaying away the day
the raven caws in black and white
the dove sings with the mornings light
dark and light
meet and greet
parting mingling
they weep
One is lost without the other
give and take under cover
of what is said and what is meant
torn tattered souls selling love for rent
this way... that way...
Which matters from day to day?
Time does not change those around us,
or even ourselves
It simply reveals what is hidden behind the fuss
and drags us in deeper hells
Call out to the angels
they hear our fears
but without wills they can never untangle
and only weep as they hear
call out to the devils
they hear our needs
And in our pain they revel
as we sow our seeds
Come oh fallen... come as one together there
sing the glories of heaven
as we sail to the depths of despair
One, two and three.. four, five, six, and seven
The deadly sins will draw you if you dare
Upon the rail caws the raven
Upon the wire sings the dove
Light and dark entwine
Forever leading to depths and divine...
